TrilightZone Review 2024: Before You Buy, Is It Worth It?
TrilightZone Overview
While TrilightZone is a decent VPN, you can get better quality VPNs at an affordable price. Surfshark, for example, offers premium VPN features for a super low monthly fee — so you don’t have to settle for less.
TrilightZone offers secure, private, and anonymous Internet connections. They change your IP address so the website you visit cannot see your real details. They support OpenVPN, which is the most secure VPN protocol. They do not support weak protocols such as PPTP, making sure you’re always protected when you use their VPN services.
TrilightZone offers several other services such as secure email, anonymous newsgroup subscription, and private domain services.
We offer three pricing options: a three-month plan, a six-month plan, and an annual plan. It’s important to note that these packages cover services in only two specific countries. If you wish to access servers in more than two countries, additional charges will apply.
The prices are an overkill, to say the least. To access servers in 6 countries, the prices can go up to €320 for a year! Compare this with the top VPN companies in the market that offer services for as low as $3 per month and allow access to hundreds of servers – TrilightZone is clearly way overpriced.
The good thing is that you can pay securely without revealing your identity. TrilightZone accepts Bitcoin as well as cash payments.
They don’t keep any usage logs, so your online activities are secure. Their speeds are tremendous and TrilightZone works on all major platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. Thanks to their excellent speeds, you can use it for VoIP applications such as Skype.
Speed
- 7.1 / 10Why Most Speed Tests are Pointless & How We Correctly Test VPN Speeds
Speed determines how fast content uploads, so if you're torrenting or streaming, you want the speed to be somewhat identical to your regular internet speed. Since a VPN encrypts your data, it usually takes a bit longer to send your data back and forth, which can slow down your connection. However, if your ISP deliberately slows down your connection (also known as throttling) a VPN might increase your internet speed. Testing a VPN is somewhat pointless because new servers pop up and affect speed. Your speed can also differ according to your location, so your speed test might not match ours. Having said that, we tested the speed in numerous locations to provide you with the average.

User Experience
- 8.4 / 10Setup and configuration will take some time because they don’t have helpful guides on their website. Also, since their website isn’t very user-friendly, you’ll need to contact their customer support for help. And they don’t have any live chat. The overall process can take longer than you expected.
It can be configured on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, and routers. Since they offer only one connection on one license, it’s best to install it on your router and enjoy anonymity on all devices.
The VPN isn’t very user-friendly. Combine this with the fact that they are super expensive, and it turns out that this isn’t exactly the most feasible VPN solution.

Support
- 8.4 / 10How We Test Customer Support and Why Should You Care
We personally test the customer support team of every VPN we review. This means asking technical question through the live chat feature (where applicable) and measuring the response time for email questions. Whether you need to connect to a specific server, change your security protocol, or configure a VPN on your router, finding a VPN with quality customer support should be important to you.
