HeadVPN Review 2025: Before You Buy, Is It Worth It?
HeadVPN Overview
“2025 UPDATE! Unfortunately, HeadVPN is no longer available. Why not check out our list of the best VPNS in 2025 or find out more about our top recommendation, ExpressVPN.”
HeadVPN is a relatively new VPN service provider. However, despite it being what many would call a ‘newbie’ in the industry, it remains a remarkable service provider. You may use this VPN permanently, or connect with it only when required. Whatever the case, one of the most impressive things about it is that it allows you to mask your IP address quite easily and keeps you perfectly hidden from third parties.
Of course, like other service providers, HeadVPN is not free, but the good thing is that its pricing system is quite affordable. You’ll typically get three subscription plans, all of which are budget friendly. However, we recommend that you choose the one year plan as it gives you round-the-clock security protection at the most affordable price.
Now, one of the key things we noticed about HeadVPN is its ability to support almost all digital devices. It means that if you have a method which relies on the internet, this VPN is there for you to use and is assured to keep you safe. So, feel free to use it for streaming and browsing content from anywhere in the world.
HeadVPN also knows that you may come across some challenges as you try to navigate through the VPN. Therefore, although it does not have a live chat feature, it proposes that you drop them a message with your valid email address. Their customer support team will then consider your request and get back to you with the relevant solutions.
It may not be as fast as a live chat feature, but it’s still quite useful. Finally, we need to point out that despite it having few servers, it is exemplary in the manner in which it makes use of the ones it has.
Speed - 8.5 / 10
Why Most Speed Tests are Pointless & How We Correctly Test VPN Speeds
Speed determines how fast content uploads, so if you're torrenting or streaming, you want the speed to be somewhat identical to your regular internet speed. Since a VPN encrypts your data, it usually takes a bit longer to send your data back and forth, which can slow down your connection. However, if your ISP deliberately slows down your connection (also known as throttling) a VPN might increase your internet speed. Testing a VPN is somewhat pointless because new servers pop up and affect speed. Your speed can also differ according to your location, so your speed test might not match ours. Having said that, we tested the speed in numerous locations to provide you with the average.

Are you looking for a VPN that has a simple subscription process? Well, you’ve come to the right place. Here, after we paid for the subscription, the company sent us a letter via email. It contained all passwords and names needed for logging in.
However, launching is not automatic, and we had to follow specific steps to connect to any of its servers. Even so, we were pleased to see that it encompasses almost all known security encryptions.
To top things off, we enjoyed the speed we were getting. We didn’t experience any lag or buffering, which was quite impressive. At one point we ended up questioning the assumption that a VPN causes delays in your connection.

How We Test Customer Support and Why Should You Care
We personally test the customer support team of every VPN we review. This means asking technical question through the live chat feature (where applicable) and measuring the response time for email questions. Whether you need to connect to a specific server, change your security protocol, or configure a VPN on your router, finding a VPN with quality customer support should be important to you.
Editor's Note: We value our relationship with our readers, and we strive to earn your trust through transparency and integrity. We are in the same ownership group as some of the industry-leading products reviewed on this site: ExpressVPN, Cyberghost, Private Internet Access, and Intego. However, this does not affect our review process, as we adhere to a strict testing methodology.
