Samsung Releases New AI-Powered Galaxy S25 Devices

Samsung Electronics unveiled its newest AI-powered Galaxy S25 smartphones yesterday, at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in California.

The latest devices, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25, include Qualcomm’s chips and AI-integrated technology powered by Google’s Gemini. Pre-orders are available starting today and general availability will begin on February 14. Prices start at $799 for the Galaxy S25.

The Galaxy S25 series features the Snapdragon 8 Elite—Qualcomm’s latest powerful AI chips for Android smartphones launched in October—to improve processing of the advanced AI technology and enhanced 50MP ultrawide camera.

“We evolved Galaxy AI to help everyone interact with their devices more naturally and effortlessly while trusting that their privacy is secured,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics in a press release. “Galaxy S25 series opens the door to an AI-integrated OS that fundamentally shifts how we use technology and how we live our lives.”

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series houses Samsung’s latest user interface for Android, One UI 7. This interface includes multimodal AI agents and upgrades to Google’s Circle to Search, allowing users to easily find photos and documents and perform actionable searches.

Google released a blog post about Samsung’s updates, highlighting the new Gemini features included in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series and other devices.

“With extensions, Gemini can already help you complete tasks across apps on your phone like YouTube, Google Maps, Gmail, and Spotify,” states the document. “Starting today, Gemini can also help you take actions across Samsung apps on your Galaxy S25 phone, including Samsung Calendar, Notes, Reminder, and Clock.”
