If you’re in a hurry, here’s the bottom line — You can get more servers globally, better VPN features, and 24/7 customer support with Surfshark for the same price or less. So why bother reading on?!
Though it sounds unattractive, looks unattractive, and is ridiculously expensive, WASEL Pro is a small provider from the Netherlands that’s actually packed with a bunch of interesting features aimed at Gulf users. WASEL Pro seems to understand how tough restrictions are in the MENA region, that’s why it centralizes its focus on delivering robust encryption techniques to get around geo-blocking and filtering systems in the Middle East without keeping logs. However, this strategy backfires when it comes to speed. This is one of the slowest VPNs around and we wouldn’t recommend it for streaming enthusiasts even though it can access a lot of streaming websites like Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, and VoIP apps. It’s more recommended for business users for its strong encryption and security features such as support for multiple protocols (OpenVPN, SSH, and L2TP/IPsec), kill switch, and DNS as well as IP leak protection. WASEL Pro VPN also has basic clients for all major platforms (Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Linux, and Android) and offers 6 simultaneous connections. The website is very poor, lacks luster, and is very confusing, but there’s a so-so F.A.Q section that explains how the service works on different devices. Live chat support is also available 24/7, but we had a lot of awkward moments with their team. For instance, one agent quit the chat without answering our question, but the second agent managed to answer our questions. As previously mentioned, prices are high, but there’s a 7-day money-back guarantee policy and a 5-hour trial. So, if you’re planning on going to the Middle East soon, put WASEL Pro VPN on your packing list.

You may experience some connection drop outs every now and then, but you shouldn’t worry if you have the kill switch turned on. I offer a convenient server switching feature, and there’s even an option to allow the app to automatically select the optimal server based on your location, ensuring a faster connection.
